Basics

  • Oven Temperature: 375°
  • Bake Time: 10 - 12 minutes

Preparation

Oat Mixture

  1. Mix together
    • 2 cup flour
    • 2 1/2 cup rolled oats (quick)

Base

 Room temperature for egg and butter
 If eggs are little, use 2 or if too dry to keep together add a sprinkle of water
  1. Cream well:
    • 1 cup margarine
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 t. salt
    • 1/2 t. soda
    • 1 t. vinegar
  2. Add:
    • 1 large egg
  3. Cream again
  4. Add oat mixture a little at a time
  5. roll desired thickness
  6. oiled cookie sheet
